The September 2010 Student Blogging Challenge is nearing the end and the students have been working REALLY hard on their weekly challenges!
We now have 136 class blogs and over 900 student blogs registered from 17 countries of the world
It’s time to celebrate while using it as an opportunity to collect examples of student work!
So we’ve decided give away thirty Edublogs Pro 12 month subscriptions which you can use on your own blog or give away to a reader.
How to Enter
Any class or student blogger can enter, including bloggers not currently participating in the September 2010 Student Blogging Challenge!
Just write a post based on any of the topics themes listed below:
- Your story of how blogging has helped you connect to a global audience? What this connection has meant to you? e.g. the friends you have made, what you have learnt about other cultures, how you are able to share your passions with others, how you are able to use blogging to share your views on topics
- What difference has blogging made to your life at school and home? e.g. how has it changed how you learn, the challenges of blogging and how teachers might make the process easier
- What was the best weekly challenge task you completed in the September 2010 Student Blogging Challenge e.g. what did it involve, what did you learn and why did you enjoy it the most?
- If you were in charge of the Student Blogging Challenge — what are some of the weekly challenge tasks you would include and why?
- Your own choice of topic. Here’s the chance to demonstrate how creative you can be!
Once you have written your post:
- Leave a comment on this post letting us know you have entered, with a link to your post plus your grade/year level.

Challenge Yourself to Blog: “What difference has blogging made to your life at school and home? e.g. how has it changed how you learn, the challenges of blogging and how teachers might make the process easier”
In a way blogging is like a way to make friends.Blogging has made such a difference in my life. The reason why is that I have never been good with computers. But ever scince I have been entroduced to blogger I feel I have gotten better with using the computer. This has made a positive change in my life and this will benefit my future. I have realized how much more I will be able to learn through blogging. Before entering the 6th grade, I never even heard of blogging until my English teacher introduced this to me. I have realized how much more I have been using the computer in school and at home. This is a whole new learning process for me. The challenge of blogging is that since I am not a computer kind of person, the Techy Tuesday and other websites will help me learn more by the challenges they give me every Tuesday and weekend. I am also learning alot of things through other bloggers. As for my teacher, I would have to say that he does make the process of learning this whole new challenge a little easier through his step by step website called “throughourwindowroom101”.

This is quite timely as I am needing to review use of blogs this year to decide on our next steps. Our focus is whether it impacts on learning or not. If it doesn’t, we look for other methods to raise student standards. Fair to say, our class blog has raised standards in reading, writing and oral presentations…. http://super7scoopers.edublogs.org/about-us/about-this-blog/ Absolutely thrilled! 🙂
Thanks Sue. Hopefully the students enjoy the task.
Sue,
I have turned comments off on the challenge blog crosspost and directed them to this post to know how to enter. Easier if it is all here on this one post.
Oops I was way off, Sue ! Thanks for letting me know and I’ve now corrected this. I’ve also increased the number of Pro blogs since there is so many.
Absolutely no problem with cross posting, Go for it! If you get them leaving their links on your post can you let me know so I follow up with them there as well?
Hi Sue,
Those were our early statistics. We now have 136 class blogs and over 900 student blogs registered from 17 countries of the world. On behalf of those classes and students, I would like to thank Edublogs for promoting the challenge and organizing chances for students to earn Pro blogs. I hope I have your permission to put this post on the student blogging challenge blog as a cross post?
