We’re creating a list of online tools. Can you help us?
What we’re wanting to know is “What tools do you like to use your students that can be embedded into blogs and other websites like wikis?”
Our goals are to learn more about what tools you like to use with your students and why — so we can share this with everyone so we all gain!
Can you help in the following ways:
- Can you please complete our Favorite online tools to use with Students! form?
- We’ve kept it to your top 3 favorite tools to make it quicker to complete the form.
- Feel free to complete the form multiple times if you had wanted to list more than 3 tools!
- Types of online tools might include your favorite slideshow, presentation, interactive posters, screencasting, video creators, cartoon creators, image creators, video sharing, document hosting/sharing/collaboration, video editing, collaborative story telling, movie making, mind mapping, file sharing, avatars, photo editing, comic creators, screencapture…..what do you and your students like the best?
- Can you promote our Favorite online tools to use with Students! form to your community and network?
- The more responses we gather the better the information we share will be and the more we’ll all learn!
Please complete our Form
Please fill in the Google form below.

Hi Chenoa, I think we sorted this out by email last week? If not, please let me know?
Hi Sue, just another question, I set up one of the blogs as Pro on Friday Australian time, and Paypal says the subscription is active and money has been taken out but I am still waiting to set up the student blogs as it hasn’t come through yet. I know it takes longer for a bank transfer. Any clues???
Cheers, Chenoa
Hi Sue,
Sorry for posting on here but I can’t get onto the forums.
Last year I started blogging at the school I was doing my final internship at, I set up 3 classes, and this year, they asked me to help out again. What I am trying to figure out is if there is a way to ‘clear’ last years student blogs from their ‘upgrade 50 student blogs’…..as they only have 22 left each. I have deleted their links to last year’s student blogs, but as I created them using my account……?
If the school wants to keep using blogs for 3 months out of each year, is there some other way of doing this? Should we get the students to delete their blogs at the end of the year – will that enable the teachers to upgrade the new blogs? Currently they use the Blog and User creator (not advanced) to create student blogs. I am not a Pro user anymore, but each of the teachers I am assisting are.
I appreciate all the help I can get!
Thanks, Chenoa
I have been using Flash Card Maker Pro with my daughter. It has really helped her to improve in reading and math. The application runs on my Android phone though.

Thanks Britt for taking the time to write your post. I’ve left a comment on it and I’m adding a link here to your post so others can check it out – http://brittgow.globalteacher.org.au/2010/12/11/my-favourite-online-tools-to-embed-in-blogs-and-wikis/
Thanks for this Sue – I filled in the survey and then wrote a blog post at Technoscience (http://brittgow.globalteacher.org.au). I recently presented a webinar titled “A Digital Toolbox for 21st Century Learners” that included all my favourite tools for 2010. it can be accessed at:

Thanks Ms D, you can fill in the form multiple times if you had wanted to include an explanation of why you use those ones and had wanted to include examples.
This is a great idea Susan! I completed the survey and it was difficult to narrow it down to 3. Here are some additional favorites that I use with students throughout the year:
brainpop
xtranormal
animoto
polldaddy
quizrevolution
and of course EDUBLOGS!
