This post is part of the #EdublogsClub – a group of educators and edtech enthusiasts that blog around a common theme each week. Simply write a post and share it to join in, or sign up to receive email reminders of each new prompt.
Do you have a creative side that you don’t often get to share? This week, we want to see a different side of you.
Prompt: Write a post that uses art, music, or poetry.
Write a poem or song, draw a picture, create a meme/gif. Get creative!
Or write a post that shares how you use art, poetry, or music in the classroom.
We can’t wait to see what you can do!
Happy blogging!
My contribution to the topic!

I could really resonate with this post, Melanie! I have left you a comment 🙂
I’m glad to post Week 18. I’ve got so much catching up to do!

While I have been known to produce art, poetry, and music, I much prefer helping students learn and express themselves, so my post is about the incidental walk-in research assignment for performing arts students who have missed a music or theater performance and need to make up the grade.
This was one of my signature activities when I was a librarian and prompted teachers in other subjects to get my input on unique and creative assignments. I hope you enjoy reading about it. http://lookingbackward.edublogs.org/2017/05/23/looking-back-make-up-assignments-for-performing-arts-students/

So, I’m finally ready to share my ideas, and I thought what a better place to start than with Student art work and poetry. https://wwwatanabe.blogspot.com/2017/05/be-your-true-self-inspired-by-vcoe.html

Proud of this one, this is how I get creative! https://readersbeadvised.wordpress.com/2017/05/04/creative-expression/

I’m so envious–I never have gotten the hang of book reviews or booktalks! I always invited the public library young adult librarian to visit 3 or 4 times a year and do booktalks–the kids always loved it. And I am able to incite students to create great book trailers!
Love your pictures! BrP
