  3. Hey Miss W.
This blog competion has meant alot to me and helped me be a better writer and learn about online safety. I now know that I should not give out any personal information therefore protecting me. That said I say thankyou for this wonderful Blog Competion you have started.

  4. The blogging competition is amazing. I learned how to make links to websites that I like. I have been able to see other people’s blogs from around the world. Because of the blogging competition I have learned some stuff about blogs that I would have never learned if it weren’t for this blogging competition.

  5. Hi Sue,

Thank you for responding to my comment and checking out my page. I enjoy learning most from filipacad6b because she is the only person I have really been communicating with that is not in the U.S. She is really nice and I am learning so many things about Portugual.

  6. This blogging compition has meant a lot to me in the way that it has showed me what its like in other parts of the world. It also taught me how to do new things on the computer that I had no clue that we were able to do before, like make a avartar and having your own blog. During the blogging compition I have explored through different countries just over the internet. I feel like I have been to the different countries just looking at the other peoples blogs. This experiance is vary unique to me and I enjoy it alot.

  7. Hi Sue! Thank you for creating this blog competition. It has taught me so much about my computer skills. Such as my typing, and writing skills. These blogs also help me communicate with people all over the world! I find that very interesting. Ive also been keeping up with my blog frequently thanks to your competition. Overall your idea has helped me learn in so many ways, thank you.

  8. Hi Sue,

First, the blogging competion is really helpful with our skills with computers. I have never been someone who could type fast or know what to do with my time on a computer besides checking e-mail. This competion has increased my skills with typing and searching. My computer class has been accomplishing every weekly challenge swiftly. My favorite part of it all is being able to talk to other people on the other side of the world. Also, creating a blog itself was cool because we have our own space to write our opinions in.

    Thank-you Miss Waters!!!!

  9. Hi Sue,

This blogging competition has taught me many things. I really enjoyed creating avatars and posting it on my blog. My writing skills have also improved during this competition.
I really enjoyed communicating with other students around the world. It was interesting how schools are so much different in other countries and states. It was also exciting to pick my theme and add a cluster map. It’s cool to know who looked on my blog. In all, this blogging competition has been educational and interesting.

  10. Aloha Sue Waters!
I have learned so much from your blog as well as Ms. Wyatt’s. The best part of blogging is without a doubt is commenting on other [people's] blogs and posts. As Ms. Wyatt has said, commenting does indeed ‘Keep up the conversation’. Before I began my blog, I knew squat on blogging or what the purpose of what a blog was. Now, I check my blog every day and continue to make new posts and try to update it when I can. The competition has gotten very exciting. I still can not believe it’s almost over and will be melancholy. Even when the competition is over I will continue to keep blogging!

  11. Hi Sue,

I like the blog compition because you do different actitivities every week. I am glad that we have to do all those great activities. It taught me how to under stand what a blog is about and it improved my writing skills. I also got to see other students blogs from around the world. I think the blogging competion will be a big success this year.

  12. This blogging competition has meant a lot to me because I get to communicate with people in other states and countries. The blogging competition has improved my reading and typing skills. My favorite part about making blogs are the clustr maps. I think it’s so cool that you can see who has visited you around the world. I’ve never experienced making blogs before and I have found that it is fun and also educational.

  13. Hi Sue,

The blogging competition has taught me a lot of things. It has improved my comprehension and writing skills. This competition is very interesting to me because I will be able to communicate to different people in the world by sending them comments. I really enjoyed making my avatar and writing on my about me page. That said I thank you for starting this blogging competition.
    Thanks

  14. Sup Sue?!?!
(I thought you would be tired of hearing “Hey Sue”)

This competetion is the best! I have learned things I would never have looked into with out you’re help. I learned about RSS feeds, how to use HTML to embed an object on a page, and even learned about how to manage links.
    Thanks

    Peace, Lucas

  15. Hi
I like blogging and I find it interesting because Its away of people all over the world to talk about stuff thats going on in the school or life. I really like to be able to tell people what I think about election or things in my city or in other place’s.

  16. Blogging is a new thing for me and when I get a new comment on my blog I get realy excited. Same with when I get a new dot on my cluster map. My parents think it’s a great thing that I have my own blog and that I am commenting on other people’s blogs.

  17. I think blogging is a lot of fun because it allows you to talk to others all over the world and find out more about their lifestyles. Also, about the competition, I like seeing everyone’s different views on the same subject.

  18. Hi Sue,
I started to read all this beautiful comments and I ended commenting on several of their author’s blogs!
It’s really an energizing and cheerful experience to go through this Competition!
So far, I’m slowly getting my students on the road, we take our time because we must participate as a in a “leisure activity” – it means that we are not given specific time at school to get along with it, except for 40 minutes on Monday during lunch break.

This is so, because, this year, Primary grades have computer lessons included in their syllabus for the 1st time, and they have them precisely during our lunch breaks!

Even though, I’m so happy to have brought my young students to this world of wonder – and yet so real – I just hope they will understand that the heart of blogging and web2.0 is all about friendship and building a new world.

Thank you for your helpful and caring support!
    Ines

  19. Hi Sue,
Well this competition has certainly been fun and exciting!!!
I really enjoy visiting all the blogs and having people comment on my blog it made me feel good and that my posts were important.
I like how every week each member of the competittion has to write a post. I liked visisting others blogs because they also had interesting things to write about. This competition has let us exspress oursel. Our opinion will be heard with every post or comment that we make. This competition is amazing and I’m glad I’m a part of it.

  20. Dear Sue,
I am a new user of edublog but I am already felt the problem of the site while i exporing its new features and functions. First problem is the time that it takes to load a page, for e.g, when i was trying to write a blog entry to inform my students of upcoming assignments and activities. I was extremely frustrated the fact that it took so long to load a page just to allow me to post an entry. Second is I seem to be unable to copy and paste the embeded code for youtube and widget into a post, or a page, or in the sidebar. i read your guideline on how to embed the html code into a normal post, but it didnt appear, and it kept popping up with the message that internet explore cannot load the page. I tried the whole morning and i still unable to insert a video clip from youtube into the post. Can you please enlighten me on this matter? Your comment is urgently needed. Thank you.
    Gioia

  21. I think it is great that you have this international blogging competition it’s a new thing for me and I don’t know what I would do without it. It is so much fun and I know there is only so much more things I could do. I also love this competition because it is one of the things that is exposing me to all the new things I can experiance. I just wanted to say thank you for letting all of us around the globe be able to participate in this competition.

  22. Hey-
I really enjoy blogging about each new topic every week. However, I think the best part is reading about other people’s opinions on the same topics and seeing how they are similar and how they differ from my own. Also, I like having kids from all over the world visiting and commenting on my blog.

    Thanks again,
    Jeff

  23. How’s it going Sue?
The best parts of blogging so far, is really having an understanding of what people think around the world. Blogging, to me, is so interesting because you can read other people’s opinions on a topic, and discuss it with them. I love how I can freely put out my opinion on something and get a response on it from anyone from anywhere.

    Thank you!

  24. I really enjoy blogging, especially when someone comments in your blog. You feel like writing more post and hope people comment on it. I learned new things about blogging from other people like how to put music in your blog, how to put avatar in your blog, and specially how to put hearts in your blog and on comments. Mainly blogging had given me alot of experiance about the internet and hope to learn more.
Thanks for introducing edublog to us.

  26. Hi Sue,

I love the cool additional features you are eligible to add to your blog, it really makes blogging so much more interesting. I also love the fact that you can talk to anyone around the world, it is very interesting to gather other students opinions on a variation of categories. The blogging competition was a great idea to get students involved with other students of higher or lower intellect around the world. In many cases, it boosts the student motivation to become a better worker in school, or in raises their level of interest among topics. The compeitition was a great idea and many kids in which have entered this competition are being benefited in a very positive way whether the realization of that is there or not. Great idea, I know you have many more to come.

  37. Hi Everyone — I’ve now dropped past the blogs of everyone who has written comments since I last added a comment. And left a comment. Please let me know if I accidentally missed your blog as some of the links were hard to work out.

  38. @Gioia I did send you an email but will also leave a comment here as well. We haven’t experienced any issues or slowness with Edublogs recently. It might be worth you checking if there are any issues where you are. You may have a filter or security setting that is slowing down the system?
