I have gained a lot of experience and education throughout my time of blogging. I have learnt sooo much! So far I’ve liked talking to different people and looking at other achievments have been made from all over the world. It’s also a great program to keep up with computer technology!

what i like most about the competition is that i have learned so much about how to work the blogs like how to change my avatar, put URLs in my posts. i hope to learn more also like putting pics and videos on my blog, not just URLs to the videos. thanks so much for supporting all of us students in the competition.
Our classes have been getting frustrated since our school term commenced as out internet has been down quite a bit and when that has been up, edublogs or globalstudent is down. However, we hope to have more success on Wed and Thursday. So, with some luck we may be fully on deck then.

The best parts of blogging so far are improving my computer writing and typing skills. I also love the fact that I can communicate my thoughts and share my ideas with others tudents. Blogging is a great way for me to spend time doing something fun. Blogging is very interesting because you can share how you feel about certain topics and how other opinions are right or wrong. Three things about the competiton that I liked best were the creation of avatars and ClustrMaps, and the post for Blog Action Day about poverty and to listen to other students point of views on these topics. I feel that blogging is a great way to express yourself!

Hi! My favourite part about blogging is that you can write about whatever you want to: your intrests, your dislikes, anything you want. I think that being able to let anyone know what you like is pretty cool, and what keeps it interesting is when you can go to other blogs and find people who like the same things as you. I like blogging because it lets kids from opposite sides of the world communicate in a fun and interesting way. I like writing a post and then getting a comment saying that they like my blog, or something. Even if it is constructive criticism, it helps me to learn how to make my blog better. It’s also interesting to see what other people think about what I wrote and to get a different perspective.
The competition has really got me thinking outside the box. Some things I would never think to write about create a little spark in my mind and I just write and write and write! I’ve got to work on getting my posts written faster, though, because I always wait til the very last minute to write them. I’m still working on it though.

Before this blogging competition I didn’t know much about blogs. I never even thought that I would have one. Being a part of this competition is great because the posts you give us keeps me on track so that I never abandon this. It’s also fun for me to blog on my own so people around the world get a good view on me. I am also getting better at blogging. Even though some of my blogs don’t make sense, I still get a little excited because I posted something. And blogging gives me a little bit of confidence and I seem to make sense when it comes to important things like poverty (which is my favorite post) and the Presidential Elections. This blogging has let me open up to people and be myself knowing that it’s okay to be crazy. I know this comment is kind of long but I think you should know that I appreciate having this opporunity and how much I’ve improved. Thanks!

So far, my favourite part about blogging is seeing where everyone is coming from on the cluster map and how every day it changes. Blogging is very new to me but I’m getting the hang of it. My favourite part of the student blogging competition 2008 has been seeing the ‘all I need’ video and ‘the girl effect’ and writing about them for blog action day. I think this comeptition is great! Because it connects 1 single student to a whole world of other students. It makes me feel like now, I’m not just 1 person it makes me feel more connected, like I have a whole other family in different countries. We’re all connected in a web of different backrounds, cultures, and ethnicities.
The part that I like about this is that it makes me feel more comfotable talking to adults, and kids my age. It gives me more responsibility. I know am careful about what I say becuase I know it goes world-wide.
I think having the blogging competition is a great idea for kids and adults!

I think the best part of blogging is looking at where my visitors are coming from on the cluster map. I try to comment on people’s blogs in far away places to build up an audience in all different places around the world. I find blogging very interesting because I can share my experiences, feelings, opinions and ideas with everyone who visits my blog. The three aspects of the competition I have liked the best are probably that you can go onto Miss Wyatt blog and click on our participants an then a bunch of blogs I can comment on pop up. Which really helps me find blogs to look at and to communicate with the blogger. I also like the blogging competition because our teacher is giving out awards in the classroom for successful bloggers. Another reason I like the blogging competition is because I can learn so much from other people just by visiting their blogs.

Well, there are ups and downs of the competition, the bit where we have a chance to win prizes is a benefit, having fun and just getting to share so many things and get to meet many new people is another benefit! But a down is it is frustrating and you are sometimes confused and left speechless and sometimes even find it difficult to create a post or so…
The best parts of blogging are that you get to meet so much new people, you have your own website and you feel special! Also, you get lots of support, and if you want to know if for example a story of yours is good, there will be many people there to give you advice. Blogging is just exciting and fun, especially how you can comment on people’s blogs and also write your very own posts…
Blogging is EXTREMELY interesting because of everything you get to do, even write and even read. Every blog I have read is interesting and always have something that makes you wince, sigh, even weep or laugh, sometimes groan and sit still in shock. Blogging has been so astounding and fun, and I really enjoy every moment of it!! I recommend blogging to everyone that likes to make friends, read, and even just have their own site.

First, the blogging competion is really helpful with our skills with computers. I have never been someone who could type fast or know what to do with my time on a computer besides checking e-mail. This competion has increased my skills with typing and searching. My computer class has been accomplishing every weekly challenge swiftly. As Ms. Wyatt has said, commenting does indeed ‘Keep up the conversation’. Before I began my blog, I knew squat on blogging or what the purpose of what a blog was. Now, I check my blog every day and continue to make new posts and try to update it when I can. The competition has gotten very exciting. I like blogging and I find it interesting because Its away of people all over the world to talk about stuff thats going on in the school or life. I really like to be able to tell people what I think about election or things in my city or in other place’s.

I started to read all this beautiful comments and I ended commenting on several of their author’s blogs!
It’s really an energizing and cheerful experience to go through this Competition!
So far, I’m slowly getting my students on the road, we take our time because we must participate as a in a “leisure activity” – it means that we are not given specific time at school to get along with it, except for 40 minutes on Monday during lunch break.
This is so, because, this year, Primary grades have computer lessons included in their syllabus for the 1st time, and they have them precisely during our lunch breaks!
Even though, I’m so happy to have brought my young students to this world of wonder – and yet so real – I just hope they will understand that the heart of blogging and web2.0 is all about friendship and building a new world.

Dear Sue,
I am a new user of edublog but I am already felt the problem of the site while i exporing its new features and functions. First problem is the time that it takes to load a page, for e.g, when i was trying to write a blog entry to inform my students of upcoming assignments and activities. I was extremely frustrated the fact that it took so long to load a page just to allow me to post an entry. Second is I seem to be unable to copy and paste the embeded code for youtube and widget into a post, or a page, or in the sidebar. i read your guideline on how to embed the html code into a normal post, but it didnt appear, and it kept popping up with the message that internet explore cannot load the page. I tried the whole morning and i still unable to insert a video clip from youtube into the post. Can you please enlighten me on this matter? Your comment is urgently needed. Thank you.

I love the cool additional features you are eligible to add to your blog, it really makes blogging so much more interesting. I also love the fact that you can talk to anyone around the world, it is very interesting to gather other students opinions on a variation of categories. The blogging competition was a great idea to get students involved with other students of higher or lower intellect around the world. In many cases, it boosts the student motivation to become a better worker in school, or in raises their level of interest among topics. The compeitition was a great idea and many kids in which have entered this competition are being benefited in a very positive way whether the realization of that is there or not. So far this blogging competition has been so much fun. it really brings people together. my favorite part about blogging is you get to write about whatever you want to and people all over the world get to see it. I love the cool things you get to do to your blog, like changing the backround and adding cluster maps. three things i loke about the blogging competition are that it is a competition, it is world wide so lots of different people get to see everything you write, and it is a fun way to get grades in school.

@Gioia I did send you an email but will also leave a comment here as well. We haven’t experienced any issues or slowness with Edublogs recently. It might be worth you checking if there are any issues where you are. You may have a filter or security setting that is slowing down the system?
I think that this is a very nice site so nice you did a good job.

The best part of blogging for me so far was being able to connect and talk with everyone from different states and countries around the world.
I find blogging interesting, becaues it gives everyone a chance to talk about themselves or problems going about in the world. I think it’s cool how everyone can just have a place to talk about it all.

I think the best part of blogging is being able to share your thoughts with people from all around the world without having to go anywhere. The best part of the competition, is that everyone is required to write about the same thing so we can see what other peoples opinions are on one topic. I also like leaving and recieving comments so you can tell people what you think about their posts, and hear what they have to say about yours.
I like that we are getting a very rare and amazing chance. I know that my class is the only one in my town or even maybe my state that is doing this. The experience is some thing that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life and it has certainly broadened my horizon.
I think that blogging is a good way to communicate with peopl from all over the world, and see the differences, and even sometimes similariteis of all the places in the world. Blogging is definately interesting to me, this is because I have never really communicated with people from other countries, and I have a really good time getting to know events that happen all around the world. Mostly I like talking to people and getting to know them more, but I also like learning more about technology, because I am into alot of those kinds of things, and blogging has taught me alot. This is a once in a lifetime oppertunity too, and I don’t want to waste any moment of it.

I am really enjoying this competition. I’ve been commenting on blogs from other countries and it has been awsome seeing the differences between where I’m from and where they are. I have had people from other countries congratulating me on getting into a play that they knew nothing about until now and I think that is pretty cool. I have made friends with people that I never thought I would. This competition has allowed me to use the Internet as part of my homework. It is a great way to lean and have fun at the same time. I have never done anything like this and I think it is a great experience so far.

This blogging competition has opened my eyes to the different aspects in blogging. There are many things you can do with blogging, that have been assigned to complete in our blogs for the blogging competition. I do not see the competition as a way for doing something and winning. The best part is about meeting new people from different places around the world. These people may have things in common with me. I saw a girl’s blog and it said she liked to dance and have fun. That’s what I am all about. Also, with blogging I can express myself within my writing. The blogging competition includes different activities that make you see what blogging is all about. I like the ClustrMaps that show me people from different places that have visited my site, the blogroll that can show other bloggers what I am interested in, and lastly, the choice of different themes that expresses my personality even more.

I think that the blogging competition has really helped me open up and talk with people from all over the world. I think that its fun to read and write about things knowing that we’re not the only one who is going to read it or when we write the post that we are not just writing it as a boring school assingnment. I also think that it is just a fun way to get to know other people from around the world and see how other people live.
All and all it has really meant alot.

I love blogging!!! It is a new way of expressing yourself! Just like Albert Einstein once said,” Anyone who has never made a mistake is someone who has never tried anything new.” That quote has stuck in the back of my mind and when I get dicouraged i think of the quote and somthing sparks and I get a whole new idea to write a post on. Blogging is soooo cooool!!! I think it is also a great way to write down your thoughts, and you learn more knowledge about using the computer. The best part of starting this Blogging Competition was that it rekindled the flame for my love of writing. Prior to this I was having a writers brain block, I just couldn’t get myself to write anything meaningful or from the heart. The weekly tasks for this competition got me to write things that I would never have thought of writing before. Not only are the topics interesting, but some of the responses you get to read from students the same age as you really made my thoughts twist around. The new perspectives from others, brought new ideas and from those new ideas brought more and more like a chain reaction. My favorite part of this whole competition was the post we wrote about poverty. Before that post I knew so little about the word “poverty”. Thanks to that post my teacher has given me the idea to raise money for families suffering in poverty. I also like how you can comment each others blogs already knowing some knowledge of what they’re talking about since you wrote about it as well. Like any other child, a smile is put on my face when it says “one new comment!”. Thank you.
