Interested In Joining A Student Blogging Competition?

Image of Student Blogging CompetitionAre you are student blogger wanting to connect with other student bloggers while improving your blogging skills? Or are you teacher looking for an opportunity to guide your students through the process of learning to blog?

Miss Wyatt has set up a blogging competition, starting September 22, for school students of all ages which will involve 10 weeks worth of activities, one challenge each week with some bonuses for those who want to go overboard. She is hoping each each school involved will award a small prize to the best blogger or most improved blogger in their school.

There will be weekly activities for:

  1. Students who have their own blog
  2. Students who don’t have their own blog but want to participate through commenting
  3. Classrooms who want to participate through their classroom blog

If you’re interested in participating you need to:

  1. Discuss with your teacher
  2. Drop past Miss Wyatt’s blog and register your details
  3. If you are participating as part of a classroom blog you will need to get your teacher to register your class
  4. Keep an eye on Miss Wyatt’s blog for the blogging challenge information and your weekly task

About Sue Waters

I work as an aquaculture lecturer at the WA Maritime Training Centre, Challenger TAFE in Western Australia. I have been working with a range of mobile technologies with students since late 2005. The purpose of my blog, podcast and wiki site is to document my learning journey with mobile and Web 2.0 technology so that I can share my experiences with other lecturers. My main focus is how these technologies can be used practically to benefit lecturers and students.

    I ahev recently jsut entered the blogging competition and am very excited for this event. I have just started using blogs, and so far, it is very fun to use.   31. WOW Sue, Mr Bogush (comment 44) certainly has his students involved in the competition. We are now over 500 students from Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, India (1), Portugal and Thailand.

    If we run it again, we will need to organize some type of feed from each blog or something similar. My blogroll now is ENORMOUS !!! http://wyatt67.edublogs.org

    It’s me, John again. Thank you for taking the time and looking at my blog. I have had my baby for about a week now, and yes, we do have to take the baby home every night. There are about 20 babies or so in daycare during the day. Thank gosh that the babys dont cry though or make any noises. Thanks again for visiting my blog. Talk to you soon.
